Is Beaver Lodge Forest Lands an Off-Leash Dog area?
The BLFL are not specifically an off-leash area. As the lands are on Crown lands, the City of Campbell River’s bylaws do not apply here. Dogs must be kept under control atall times and cleaned up after.

Is Beaver Lodge Forest Lands a Park?
Beaver Lodge Forest Lands are within the provincial forest, on Crown (public) lands, managed by the Ministry of Forest. According to the Beaver Lodge Trust Renewal Act the BLFL “may be used only for experimental work in reforestation and forest management.”

Do fish live in the streams?
Simms Creek runs through the BLFL and sees spawning activity from coho salmon.
Evidence of spawning, eggs in gravel, were observed last fall! Greenways Land Trust and their volunteer Stream Keepers actively steward Simms Creek and other urban creeks in Campbell River.
